The Crowning Gala 2024 - Inter-School Pageant: PAREDOS Workshop
Today's workshop was with the lovely Ms. Melena Simmons representing PAREDOS (Parent Education for Development in Barbados).
PAREDOS is a nonprofit organisation that was launched to inform and educate parents/guardians on parenting skills.
Ms. Melena Simmons is qualified in Psychology and pursuing her PhD in Education. Ms. Simmons's research area is Emotional Intelligence and she desires to use her 15 years + experience as a mentor and trainer to foster better communication, improved relationships, self knowledge and greater empathy through the use of Emotional Intelligence by teachers, parents and students resulting in more creative, successful and happier children.
We would love to express deep gratitude to Ms. Simmons for her powerful, interactive, engaging and therapeutic session with our ambassadors and their parents/friends/guardians.
We would also love to thank our Ambassadors and their parents for bonding and sharing their knowledge, experiences and time with us. An extremely beautiful workshop took place. 💕

Today's session was conducted by Mr. Shawn Clarke, the CEO of Supreme Counselling, on the Question and Answer Segment topic, "School Violence".
Shawn Clarke specializes in Bullying Training, Human Resource Development and provides counselling services to young people across Barbados and throughout the Caribbean.

Ambassadors travelled from Freedom Square to each participating school, meeting every principal and ending at The Grantley Adams Memorial School.
We had a fantastic day! Many thanks to the delegates, principals, transporters, chaperones and organizers for a safe and enjoyable day!
